June 6, 2012 - Christian Parents for Kids Daycare: "Be Kind to Animals Week" |
|
Dr. Kim Everson visited Christian Parents for Kids, a local daycare center, as part of "Be Kind to Animals Week". Approximately 120 children ranging in age from early toddler to preschooler were engaged in a lively rendition of Elizabeth Verdick's book Tails are Not for Pulling. Then Dr. Kim demonstrated a physical examination on a very well-behaved stuffed animal. Finally, she and the teachers helped the children apply bandages to their own stuffed animal "pets". After years of presenting for elementary school and middle school children, Dr. Kim enjoyed the younger children very much and was surprised how well even the babies participated! |
