2011 – Fond du Lac Soroptomists

Dr. Everson shares her experiences as a veterinarian and what it took to become one with eighth grade girls from Fond du Lac as part of the Soroptomist International Live Your Dream Seminar. Discussions ranged from “how much education does it take to become a veterinarian?” (A: anywhere from 6 to 10 years) to “what’s the weirdest animal you’ve ever done surgery on?” (A: a cow because a twisted stomach surgery on one is done in a barn with the animal awake and standing under local anesthetic…they are amazing animals).
